I received my DVM degree from Iowa State University in 1985. I practiced standard bred racetrack medicine and general equine medicine and surgery in Philadelphia for 5 years. Then was a founding partner in Mid-Rivers Equine Center near St. Louis, Missouri until 1997 when I moved to Missoula and transitioned to small animal practice. I currently enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially orthopedic surgery.

My family is the most important thing to me. I have a lovely wife of over 35 years, 2 great children, a daughter-in-law, and 2 grandchildren. My son is a graduate of the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY and is a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army. My daughter, a former level 10 gymnast in high school, is a college graduate and is currently working while traveling abroad. I love hiking, fishing, hunting, cross country skiing, white water rafting, triathlons and playing guitar. I feel blessed to live in a place like Missoula Montana and truly love my work and enjoy the great staff we have here at Missoula Veterinary Clinic.
